Achievements of Basketball Teams/Players from 1st April – 2009 to 30^th December – 2009

- 8^th Bal Bharti Inter School Sports meet Basketball/Table Tennis/Tennis for under 15 years Boys/Girls was organized by Bal Bharti Public School, Pitampura from 20^th to 24^th April,2009.

Our Girls Team bagged the Winners Trophy whereas Boys Team lost in semi-finals.

Gayatri Murari was declared the Best Player of the tournament in the Girls Section.

- Delhi School League for Sub Junior Boys was conducted for the first time by the Delhi Basketball Association from 27^th to 29^th April, 2009.

Our Boys Team was declared the Winners of Group V.

- The following Students represented Delhi State Team in the 26^th Youth National Basketball Championship – 2009 for (under17 years) Boys and Girls held at Mumbai from 9th to 16^th May, 2009.

Manini Rai was selected for the Indian Team (under-16) camp for 1^st Asian Basketball Championship for under-16 Women to be held at Pune from 30^th November to 6^th December, 2009.

- Zone – 11 Basketball Tournament – 2009 was organized by FU Bloack Pitampura on 19^th to 22^nd and 0n 25^th September, 2009 organised by ‘FU Block’ Pitampura. Our school participated in all the six categories i.e. Sr. Boys, Sr. Girls, Jr. Boys, Jr. Girls, Sub Jr. Boys and Sub Jr. Girls.

Our Sr. Boys, Sr. Girls, Jr. Girls and Sub Jr. Boys were the Winners while Jr Boys were Runners-up whereas Sub Jr. Girls were 2^nd Runners-up of the tournament

- 6^th Columban Jindal Basketball Tournament – 2009 for Junior and Senior Boys was organized by St. Columba’s School from 18^th to 29^th July, 2009.

Our Senior Boys bagged the Winners Trophy, whereas Juniors the Runners-up Trophy

Lakshay Behl were declared the Best Player of the tournament in the Senior Boys section

- 15^th Ramjas Inter School Basketball Tournament – 2009 was organized by The Ramjas Foundation, Anand Parbat from 25^th August to 4^th September, 2009.

Our both the teams i.e. Senior Boys and Girls bagged the Winners Trophy.

Lakshay Behl and A Chinmayee Meghana were declared the Best Player of the tournament in the Boys and Girls section respectively.

- DDA Invitational Inter School Basketball Tournament – 2009 (Phase-1)was organized by DDA Complex Ashok Vihar from 16^th to 19^th September, 2009.

Our both teams i.e. Junior Boys and Girls bagged the Winners Trophy.

- 20^th Hans Raj Prabhakar Memorial Basketball Tournament – 2009 was organized by Oxford Senior Secondary

Our three the teams i.e. Senior Boys, Senior Girls and Sub Junior Boys bagged the Winners Trophy.

Lakshay Behl, A Chinmayee Meghana and Unnat Chaudhary were declared the Best Player of the tournament in the Senior Boys, Senior Girls and Sub Junior Boys section rrespectively.

A Chinmayee Meghana was also declared the Best Free Throw Shooter of the tournament.

- 48^th Royal Club Basketball Tournament, 2009 was organized by Royal Club for school boys from 4^th to 11^th October, 2009 on our school ground.

Our team bagged the Winners Trophy for the second time in a row.

Armaan Ali Sayed was declared the Best Player of the tournament.

- VIII Archbishop Joseph Fernandese Memorial Basketball Tournament, 2009 was organized by Rosary School, Kingsway Camp for Girls born on or after 1^st January, 1994 from 5^th to 9^th October, 2009.

Our team bagged the Winners Trophy.

Gayatri Murari received the Best Player cash prize of Rs 1500/-

- DDA Invitational (PRIZE MONEY) Inter School Basketball Tournament – 2009 was organized by DDA Complex Vasant Kunj from 5^th to 14^th October, 2009 for Boys and Girls born on or after 1^st January, 1993.

Our Girls team bagged the Winners Trophy and Cash Prize of Rs 40,000/- where as the Boys Team bagged the 2^nd Runners-up Trophy and Cash Prize of Rs 10,000/-.

Manini Rai was declared the Best Player of the tournament and received a Cheque of Rs 5,000/-

- 9^th Archbishop Alan De Lastic Memorial Inter School Basketball Tournament – 2009 was organized by St. Michael’s School, Pusa Road from 12^th to 22^nd October, 2009.

Our both the teams i.e. Senior Boys and Girls bagged the Winners Trophy.

Eeshan Pandey and Chinmayee Meghana were declared the Best Player of the tournament in the Boys and Girls section respectively

- CBSE Cluster – XII Basketball Tournament – 2009 for Girls Under – 19 years was organized by ITL Public School, Dwarka from 22^nd to 26^th October, 2009.

Our Girls Team bagged the Winners Trophy for the fifth time in a row.

- 10^th ESPN STAR Sports TSRS Basketball Championship, 2009 for Class IX Boys and Girls born on or after 1^st January, 1995 was organized by The Shriram School, Gurgaon from 26^th to 30^th October, 2009.

Our both the teams i.e. Boys and Girls bagged the Runners-up Trophy.

Unnat Chaudhary was declared the Best Player of the tournament in the Boys section.

- 2^nd Gayatri Devi Goenka Memorial Basketball Tournament, 2009 was organized by GD Goenka Public School, Vasant Kunj for Senior Boys and Girls from 3^rd to 11^th November, 2009.

Our both the teams i.e. Senior Boys and Girls bagged the Winners Trophy.

A Chinmayee Meghana were declared the Best Player of the tournament in the Girls section whereas Lakshay Behl was declared the Best Defender of the tournament.

.- The following students represented Zone-11 Basketball Team in the Inter Zonal Basketball Tournament (Sub Junior Section) organized by Directorate of Education from 17^th to 16^st November,2009.

- CBSE National Basketball Championship – 2009 was organized by The B.C.M. Sr. Sec. School, Ludhiana from 13^th to 17^th Decmeber,2009.

Our Girls Team retained the Winners Trophy.

A Chinmayee Meghana also retained the Best Player Award.

- The following Basketball Players were awarded a scholarship of Rs 10,000/- each by the “Directorate of Education” Delhi for their outstanding performance at the National Level during the year 2007-08.

- A Chinmayee Meghana was awarded “CBSE Chacha Nehru Sports Award “ of Rs 6000/- being the Best Player Girls category in the CBSE National Basketball Tournament – 2008 held at Nagpur.

- Garima Singh was awarded a cash prize of Rs 10000/- by Montfort Alumni Association for her outstanding performance in both Academics and Sports during 2008-09..

- The following students have been selected to represent Delhi Sub Junior Basketball Team at the 36^th Sub Junior National Basketball Championship to be organized by Rajasthan Basketball Association from 4^th to 10^th January, 2009 at Chittorgarh.
