Cir-2010-11/4                                                                                                                                        12th  May 2010

Dear parents,

The school will remain closed from 15th May 2010 to 27th June 2010 as a Summer Break . The school will reopen on Monday, 28th June 2010.

We had reduced the closing time to 11.30 am due to the rise in temperature and many parents appreciated our thoughtfulness and also thanked us.

Suggestions :- Kindly make sure that your child is given plenty of fluids.

                      (Lime juice, glucose water, etc.)

Fruits like watermelon are an excellent substitute of water.

Eating outside food, in summers is not advisable as it may lead to a lot of infections.

To keep your child occupied during the vacation you may do some of the following things.  (These are only suggestions, do not pressurize them or they may take a dislike to these activities)

1.       Clay play              :    Kneading and making variety of things out of clay.

2.       Sorting                   :    Mix a few dals with distinct colours or use objects with different shapes

and colours and ask the children to separate them.

3.   Paint and brush    :    Give children old news paper and let them paint the paper.  Do not

                                                hold their hand.

4.    Paper tearing       :    Old used paper could be given for tearing. When they are able to

tear easily, coloured ones like glaze paper and crepe paper could be used.

5.    Paper squashing/crumbling   :  Children could use old paper and crush it hard enough to make small balls.

6.    Scribbling in any colour  :  let your child move his hand in left-right position during scribbling.

7.    Buttoning and un-buttoning activity  : Use a  shirt with buttons and play a game with them .

8.    Revise :-Colours :-  Red, Green, Yellow , Blue    Shapes :- Circle, square, Triangle, Rectangle

[These were done in the class]

Wishing you all a very happy and refreshing holiday.

                                                                                                                                                            19th April’10

Cir/2010-11/3

 Dear parents,

After two weeks of children coming to school we started with our normal time :-

8.40 am – 12.30 pm.  Since Monday, 12th April we have noticed a change in the weather.  Today, Friday 16th April we  noticed the little ones are getting really tired and cranky.

Being concerned about the children  we feel we should shorten the time to 11.30 am.  This change of time will be with immediate effect i.e. from Tuesday, 20th April’10.  Kindly make arrangements to pick your child at 11.30 am.

Thanking you,

With regards,

Mrs. Sheila Masih

Headmistress.
