Principal’s Message
Jubilees are occasions to be celebrated, to recall the marvellous ways in which the school has
fulfilled its mission in imparting education, moral and spiritual values and discipline to help build
leaders who will bring about a culture of peace and love which our society and country needs
today. They also provide an opportunity to reflect on the past achievements of the school as well as
introspect on the preparations to meet the challenges that lie ahead.
Montfort School Ashok Vihar, Delhi has already crossed a milestone of fifty years of its foundation.
Over the fifty years, thousands of students have shaped their lives and transformed themselves
with calibre and character building, and they have passed out from the portals of Montfort and have
made a great impact in the society/country.
Thanks to God the omnipresent under whose strength and blessings the school has reached its
pinnacle. Today Montfort has become synonymous with its quality education. It has become one
of Delhi’s premier and leading educational institutions. The tireless efforts and wholehearted
commitments to the cause of education by our founding brothers & veterans shaped the quality
of our school. They were persons with a determined mind and clarity of vision and had faced great
challenges and hardships to help us reach the Golden Jubilee.
We have reached a milestone. It tells us to be grateful to all who worked tirelessly to make Montfort
what it is today. It is not the time for us to look back and relax about the achievements. It urges
us to make the school a better place than what it has been. We need to face the challenges the
modern world places before us. Today apart from the pandemic of Covid19-, numerous are the
other challenges that lie ahead amidst our world of electronics and machines, competition and
individualism. As Montfortians we need to prepare our students to face the world with confidence .
I thank all the brothers & sisters who worked so hard with dedication to make Montfort what it
is today. I also thank our well motivated and committed staff who have brought a high level of
excellence to the school and made it a temple of knowledge and value. My heartfelt thanks and
appreciation to all the parents for their positive outlook and co-operation to the school.
My heartfelt thanks to the editorial team of this Golden Jubilee magazine headed by Shalini Singh
and Reeta Sahoo under whose able guidance the members worked to make their Jubilee issue
more innovative and different.
As Ratan Tata said “ Don’t educate your children to be rich. Educate them to be happy so when
they grow up they will know the value of things not the price”. Let this be our aim for the future. 50
years have gone into history. Let us take the next 50 years as our challenge to the future.
May St.Montfort bless us all.
