Golden Jubilee Inauguration

                     After completing 50 years of world class education, of unparalleled success in academics, of in-
                     numerable achievements in sports and cultural activities, Montfort Sr. Sec. School, Ashok Vihar
                     witnessed an event on February 01, 2020, the splendor of which was at par with the magnificence
                     of the occasion- The Inaugural Function of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations.

                     Event was graced and presided over by Rev. Anil J. Couto (Archbishop of Delhi), Rev. Dr. Kuria-
                     kose Bharanikulangara (Archbishop), Bro. James Ekka (Province of Delhi), Former Principal’s,
                     Perish & Brothers of Montfort family. The solemn programme started with the lighting of jubilee
                     lamps followed by flag hoisting by the chief guests. Also 50 lamps were lit by the teachers, par-
                     ents and helpers to mark their contribution in the success of The Montfort School. The Golden
                     Jubilee Logo was also unveiled at the same time by the Archbishops amongst the gathering
                     followed by the releasing of 50 jubilee balloons and 4 pigeons as a symbol of peace and glory.
                     The whole school and Montfort family were all decked up with celebration in the air. The school
                     was draped with golden lamps and everywhere it seemed that it was a festive time for the School.
                     The presidential address was given by Bro. James Ekka – Province of Delhi, he expressed his
                     tremendous happiness and pride to see the Montfort School doing very well in the spheres of life,
                     contributing significantly to nation building. Later The Holy Mass was celebrated by Archbishops,
                     perish and pastors, who offered prayers and supplications on behalf of the staff and students of
                     the school to the Almighty, to shower his blessings on the gathering and the ceremonial start of
                     the celebrations.

                     Then came the cultural extravaganza which included soul stirring musical renditions in the form
                     of choir songs followed by an innovative dance drama performance prepared by the students of
                     primary class that artistically portrayed the growth of the school from its inception to its pres-
                     ent. It was screened in such a way that took everyone on a nostalgic journey through the bye-
                     gone years. Various different inspiring traditional dances were also presented by the students of
                     Montfort School, highlighting the richness of cultural values. The participant’s zeal and enthusi-
                     asm absolutely mesmerized the audience. The colorful array of events were appreciated by the
                     parents and well-wishers and the audiences were enthralled by the excellent performance of the
                     participants. Everybody enjoyed the conglomeration of programmes in unwinking eyes and all
                     remained bemused ignoring the chilled weather outside.

                     The celebrations continued with the felicitation of our distinguished guests, former Principals,
                     Teachers and all those who contributed in their own little way to make Montfort what it is today.
                     Personalized mementoes were beautifully designed and gifted to teachers for their long associ-
                     ation with Montfort Institution.

                     The Principal Rev. Bro. Thampy Alex proposed the Vote of Thanks and the evening drew to a close
                     with the promise of festivity and celebration in the air for the whole year. A truly great beginning
                     for this momentous occasion and The Golden Jubilee could well be called the Year of Gratitude,
                     because we have so much to be thankful for.
