Montfort Senior Secondary School, Delhi was established in the year 1970 and is named after its founder of the society, Saint Louis Marie de Montfort, a French Priest and Catholic saint. It is an unaided Christian minority School administrated by the Society of the Brothers of St. Gabriel. It is a co educational school and is recognised by the Education Department of Delhi and also affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education, Government of India. Montfort School being a Christian Institution, its first preference is to educate Christian (Catholic) children; but admission to the School is open to all.
School has a long history since it started 50 years ago. Major changes have characterized the institution since its inception in terms of academics and other activities. Over the years the school has been always committed to providing the present and future students with the very best in educational instruction, facilities, equipment and programs. The school shares the honour of being one of the "Best Schools in Delhi". It is well designed and well constructed school buildings of its own, with the main building at the very centre with a unique architecture, built on a 6.41 acre plot dotted with lovely lush green trees along the boundary. There are 180 rooms including 56 Classrooms and several other activities room.
A beautiful statute of the founder of the Society of the Brothers of St. Gabriel, St. Louis Marie de Montfort, finds a pride of place at the end of the drive way at the entrance to the school buildings, surrounded by beautiful seasonal flowers, and is the centre of attraction for all students, parents and visitors.

Sports and games are an indispensable part of Montfortian education in all our schools. Montfort School, Delhi prepares all the students for the All- India Secondary and Senior Secondary School Examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The medium of instruction is English. Hindi is taught as second language in all classes up to Class X.
