                   Dear Bro. Thampy Alex,
                   I am so happy to know that Montfort School, Delhi has completed 50 years of its
                   existence and that you are planning to publish a significant Golden Jubilee Magazine
                   Edition to commemorate this great occasion. Hearty congratulations to you and all
                   the people associated with the school in the past and at present. Thank you very
                   much for requesting me to share my congratulatory message to be incorporated in
                   the above-said magazine.
                   I am happy to extend my Congratulations to the Brothers of St. Gabriel for planting the tiny seed of Montfort School at Ashok
                   Vihar, Delhi in the year 1970 out of love and care for humanity. Today it has become a mighty magnificent tree giving delicious
                   fruits by imparting excellent quality education to innumerable students past and present. For the last five decades, Montfort has
                   been a steadfast temple of learning transforming our students into conscientious, disciplined, and compassionate individuals
                   and leaders.
                   As far as I know, the school has been focusing not only on Academics but also on building up physical, mental, mor-
                   al, and social abilities and skills with creative and critical thinking, collaboration, communication, learning right in-
                   teraction and relationship, thereby preparing the students for challenges and the demands of the evolving society.
                   The school has been giving various opportunities to the students from the very beginning for their all-round development.
                   Opportunities and Training namely:
                   l  Improving reading, writing, and thinking skills.
                   l  Grasping the subjects through self-study.
                   l  Improving learning through activities/ charts.
                   l  Promoting the culture of collaborative learning particularly to improve the weak students.
                   l  Activities for developing reasoning skills among students.
                   l  Using students’ birthdays as an opportunity to create relationships.
                   l  Increasing student engagement to improve learning by taking them to the playground, parks, etc. discussing the importance
                     of nature, environment, fresh air, collecting specimens, etc...
                   l  Involving the parents/ community to teach the students
                   l  Insisting on discipline, attendance, class notice board, etc.
                   l  Building student’s vocabulary, confidence to speak fluently, and imagination through debates, public speaking and motivating
                     them to be happy and ways to achieve success in life.
                   l  Organizing relevant classes and activities to instill moral values and to be sensitive to the neighbors, the poor, and the needy.
                     On this great occasion it is appropriate that we appreciate and salute with gratitude all those people who contributed their
                     mite for building and developing this beautiful school namely:
                   l  The Archdiocese of Delhi for leasing out the land from the DDA and inviting the Brothers to start and establish the school in
                     the above-said land. Bro. Antony Francisco the then Indian Provincial Superior and Bro. John of the Sacred Heart, the then
                     Regional Superior of North India for accepting the invitation and signing up the agreement with the Archdiocese.
                   l  All the Principals, past and present, for their effective leadership, dedication, and sterling contribution to developing it as a
                     magnificent school.
                   l  All the teachers and other staff members for their committed and dedicated service by fully involving themselves in the cause
                     of education and development of our children.
                   l  All our students, past and present, have kept up the Montfortian traditions and values with a lot of discipline and loyalty.
                   l  All the Parents, past and present, for their unflinching support, co-operation, and understanding.
                   l  The Education department/ CBSE Board and officials for their timely encouragement and support.
                   I had the privilege of being part of this great institution and gave leadership to it as the Principal from 1992 to 1996. I sincerely
                   thank the Lord God for giving us continuous support and blessings. May the Institution continue to produce quality individuals
                   who would come forward generously to serve and develop the society and the nation as a whole.
