CONSTITUTION DAY CELEBRATION & ACTIVITIES

CONSTITUTION QUIZ
In continuation with the ongoing celebration of Constitution Day for the last one year, an
intersection online quiz competition was organized by the Social Science department for the
students of class 9 on 31st October 2020. There were five rounds for the quiz and the students
were divided into four teams with six students in each team. The questions were based on our
Constitution- important Articles, people associated with the making of the constitution, and
other facts etc. The students participated very enthusiastically . Two teams (team C and team D)
were adjudged first, followed by team B and team A.
SEMINAR
A seminar was organized on 7.11.2020 to emphasise the importance of Fundamental Duties and
Fundamental Rights and to create awareness among the students on how to become responsible
citizens. Mr. Sujay Kumar (Deputy Secretary, in Hon’ble office of Speaker Lok Sabha) was our
eminent guest. The programme started with a prayer song followed by the presentation on our
Fundamental Rights and Fundamental Duties. Mr. Sujay Kumar elaborated on the topic and
even shared some of his experiences as a parliamentarian. At the end students were invited to
interact with Mr. Sujay and ask some questions to which he happily responded
The seminar was attended by our respected Principal, Bro. Thampy Alex , Supervisor, Mr. R.K.
Dewan, teachers and students from classes 6th-12th. The session was quite informative and the
students too acknowledged the same.
READING OF THE PREAMBLE

On 26th November 2020 , the Constitution day was marked by the reading of the Preamble .The
values associated with our preamble were highlighted and discussed with the students. All the
classes from 9th -12th participated in the activity. The teachers along with the children read out
the preamble.
