Students Oriented Seminars-2020
Montfort School frequently conducts seminars to help students with multiple aspects of growing
up- emotional, physical, educational, cognitive, behavioural, and social. Seminars, workshops
and conferences hold great importance of life of a student. They are platforms not only to learn
new aspects, others perspectives and latest information, but also a good way of networking. ...
By learning about new topics and meeting leaders in their field student feels encouraged and
motivated.
Following are the few seminars conducted in session 2020-21:
Seminar On Personal Hygiene
An enlightening seminar about the physical changes in the adolescent female body occurring
during adolescence-Menstruation, was held on the 18th of July, 2020, on Zoom Platform. The
symposium, conducted by Procter and Gamble, zeroed in on the reproductive health and menstrual
hygiene of females. Attempting to break the ice between mother and daughters about the subject,
it enkindled in them, comfort to discuss all topics pertaining to menstruation.
CBSE Seminar on Mental Health
On the 10th of October 2020, the National Expressions Convention, for
the students of Grades 9 to 12, invited Adolescent Peer Educators from
across the country to promote the importance of good mental health and
wellbeing. The session for students of grades 9 and 10 was convened at
11 a.m. and that for students of Grades 11 and 12 was held at 3 p.m. Dr.
Joseph Emmanuel. Academic Director of CBSE, addressed the students
and motivated them to maintain a positive mindset during the challenging
times, and seek help of their teachers, peers and other-directed resources
for the same.
Career Counselling Seminar
Education is an integral part of a student’s life. To help students move on with the next chapter
of their lives, a convention on “Smart strategy to college admission and successful career” was
organized on 31st October 2020for the students of Grades 10th to 12th. Mrs. Roli Gupta edified the
students about various educational paths and career options after high-school graduation. More
than 175 parents and students sought guidance about their queries regarding college admissions.
Inspirational Career Guidance Seminar
Careers are not only limited to academics. The students of Montfort School were given an
opportunity to explore professions beyond academia on the 15th of December, 2020. The session
was led by Lt. Commander Piyush Jain and Officer Srishti, who spoke at length about careers in
the Indian Navy. A documentary on the functioning of the Navy engaged the students’ attention
further. The officers elucidated the students about the Navy and galvanized them to join of the
most respectful careers in the country.
