She lived in the graveyard of empires
Spending each day keeping her family astray.
Then came the Taliban playing the role of vampires
Drained her blood if she denied obeying.
She wanted to get liberated,
But was thrown into the distress of marriage.
She wanted to get educated,
But was pushed out and into the suffering of the
carriage.
She saw her mom, her daughter getting assaulted,
She saw her family getting insulted.
Was too young and fragile to save the destructed,
But still stood up and ended up being abducted.
The number of times her heart clenched,
The number of times she craved revenge
But the power resided in the men,
And that’s how they were to play out then.
She never gave up in the darkest of times,
Because she knew upon herself the sun would shine.
She never chickened out from taking a step,
CONDITION OF Because she knew that step would determine the end.
